Summary
El Mokhtar ESSASSI received his B.S in Physics from the University Mohammed V in 1973. Under the direction of Professor Vialllefont, he prepared and defended a thesis of state doctorate in 1977 at the University of Science and Technology of Languedoc (Montpellier - France). Mr. ESSASSI was appointed lecturer in 1977 at the Faculty of Sciences of Rabat and professor of higher education in 1981. He also founded the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry Heterocyclic in 1981. He is also the founding president of the Moroccan Group of Heterocyclic Chemistry and Editor in Chief of the Moroccan Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry. Mr. Essassi was Head of Department of Chemistry from 1988 to 1994 and member of the scientific committee of the Faculty of Sciences of Rabat from 1999 to 2006.He is the director of the department Pharmacochemistry (DESA and PhD) since 1997. Mr. ESSASSI is the National Coordinator of the Division of Medicinal Chemistry Skills, jury member of the Aggregation of Physical Sciences and member of the International Associated Laboratory (LIA). He is the instigator of the organization in Morocco of the National Meeting on Heterocyclic Chemistry. He won the Prix Jean Marie Lehn in Chemistry in 1993. He represents Morocco in the Scientific Committee TRAMECH (Trans Mediterranean Colloquium on Heterocyclic Chemistry) and a member of the reading committee of Algerian Journal of the Chemical Society and the Romanian magazine: Studii if Cercetari
